A retirement visa is required if you are a foreign national who wants to retire in Indonesia and you are 60 years of age or older. It’s possible to stay in the country for a long time with this type of visa. An Indonesian retirement visa will allow you to enter and exit the country as often as you choose, so you can still travel back home after you’ve settled there.
To obtain a Retirement Visa in Indonesia, what do you need to do?
In Indonesia, a retirement visa, also known as a retirement KITAS, lets you stay in the country for a long time, but it doesn’t let you work and make money. To qualify, you must show proof of deposit or a pension account with yearly funds of $2,000 USD and a bank statement for the previous three months.
You need a pension fund, life and health insurance, a place to live rented for at least a year, and to hire a local maid or helper once you get settled.
It’s important to know, though, that Indonesian retirement visas are only available to people from 60 countries right now. Get in touch with our visa experts to make sure you can get an Indonesian retirement visa.
